How to achieve effective vibration isolation for a self-priming pump
Vibration isolation is crucial, especially for new self-priming pump installations. Neglecting this can lead to significant vibrations and noise during operation. The considerable noise generated by self-priming pumps can damage equipment and cause noise pollution. Therefore, effective vibration isolation is essential. How can we achieve this?
1. When using six support points for generator set vibration isolation components, four should be placed on malleable blocks or channel steel motor shafts at the four corners, and the other two should be placed on the long side frame line, adjusting their direction to ensure the tightening deformation of the isolation components is as consistent as possible.
2. Vibration isolation components should be installed symmetrically along the center line of the self-priming pump unit. Rubber vibration isolation pads can be installed clockwise or counterclockwise.
3. When using rubber vibration isolators for self-priming pump generator set vibration isolation equipment, channel steel motor shafts should be set under the pump unit base and fixed using steel bar anchoring. The channel steel motor shaft should be fixed to the rubber vibration isolator using foundation bolts.
4. For single-sided installation of rubber vibration isolation pads, if the frequency ratio does not meet the requirements, double-layer series installation can be used, but the number of vibration isolation base layers cannot exceed five.
5. The frame line of the rubber vibration isolation pad cannot exceed the frame line of the malleable block; the bearing area of the channel steel motor shaft should not be less than the total supporting area above the vibration isolation component.
6. Before the construction of stainless steel self-priming pumps, it is necessary to check in advance that during installation, the static compression deformation of the vibration isolation components should not exceed the maximum allowable value. Furthermore, generator set vibration isolation components should be kept away from contact with acids, alkalis, and organic solutions.
High-lift self-priming pump usage standards
1. After using the self-priming pump, do not arbitrarily change the transported chemicals. Mixing different types of chemicals can easily cause various chemical reactions, even chemical changes that can result in high temperatures, pump damage, and many chemical properties that can cause significant harm to human health. Therefore, personnel should avoid hazardous areas as much as possible.
2. Before operating the self-priming pump power supply, check the appropriate positions of the gate valves and pipelines, turn on the power supply, and constantly check for any problems with the discharged liquid.
3. If the inlet and outlet gate valves are immobile, the pump material is incorrect, or the pipeline material of the pump itself is unsuitable for the working conditions, dangerous liquid migration can cause significant risks. Especially during dry operation, the liquid in the pump can also cause continuous high temperatures and vaporization. The presence of hydrogen can also lead to serious gas explosions or hydrogen explosions, so attention should be paid to operation.
4. When using self-priming pumps in harsh environments, pressure-resistant motors or explosion-proof measures must be used. Consult experts for guidance.
5. Be sure to consider using specially treated corrosion-resistant motors in environments containing chemical gases.
6. Any misuse (such as incorrect pressure, chemical incompatibility, component self-modification, or use of damaged components) can lead to accidents and should be avoided.
