Let's talk about the precautions for using a self-priming pump

　　1. When using a self-priming pump, ensure that the pump cavity is filled with liquid. High-speed operation without liquid in the pump cavity is prohibited, unless a self-priming pump capable of high-speed operation without liquid is used.

　　2. When using a self-priming pump, be sure to open the inlet and outlet gate valves first. After connecting the power supply, press the start button to check if the motor can rotate, and ensure that the motor rotation direction is consistent with the indicated direction.

　　3. During the use of the self-priming pump, the inlet and outlet gate valves must not be completely closed. If it is necessary to stop liquid transportation, please close the pipeline gate valve, but the duration should not exceed 2 minutes. If it exceeds, please turn off the power to prevent damage to the self-priming pump.

　　4. After the self-priming pump is stopped, the inlet and outlet gate valves can be completely closed. If the transported substance will solidify, be sure to close the inlet valve before stopping to allow the self-priming pump to operate for 1-2 minutes to drain the liquid in the pump cavity.

　　What are the reasons why the self-priming pump cannot pump water?

　　1. Insufficient water pressure, excessively long water pipes, and poor sealing of the centrifugal pump can cause water leakage in the centrifugal pump, preventing the formation of a vacuum and leading to an inability to draw water;

　　2. Water pipe leakage, seepage, or poor sealing of the inlet pipe can also cause the self-priming pump to be unable to draw water;

　　3. The centrifugal impeller is stuck, causing motor damage;

　　4. When the pump casing or pipeline is blocked by foreign objects, the self-priming pump may be unable to draw water.

　　Application scope of self-priming pumps:

　　1. When equipped with a swing arm nozzle, it can also spray the liquid into the air, scattering it into fine droplets for spraying. Self-priming pumps are excellent equipment for large farms, nurseries, plantations, and tea plantations.

　　2. Self-priming pumps can be used for clear water, seawater, and chemical liquids containing acids, alkalis, and slightly viscous slurries (viscosity ≤100 cP, solid content ≤30%).

　　3. Self-priming pumps can be used with various diaphragm filter presses as an ideal matching pump for feeding slurries to diaphragm filter presses for filtration.

　　Some self-priming pumps also have a cooling chamber at the bottom of the rolling bearing. When the rolling bearing gets hot and the temperature rises above 70℃, coolant can be introduced from the cooling chamber through an arbitrary coolant three-way connector for cooling circulation. The internal structure of the self-priming pump uses front and rear seals to prevent leakage of liquid from the high-pressure zone to the low-pressure zone. The front seal is installed on the pump casing, and the rear seal is installed in the bearing housing. When the self-priming pump has been running for a long time and the seal is damaged to a certain extent, affecting the efficiency and self-priming characteristics of the self-priming pump, it needs to be replaced.
