What factors affect the installation of mixed flow pumps?
2022-10-10
Mixed flow pumps are a type of pump between centrifugal pumps and axial flow pumps. They have a moderate head, large flow rate, and wide range of applications, making them a good choice for plains and low-hill areas. Depending on the outlet chamber of the gear pump, diaphragm pumps come in two types: volute type and guide vane type. Volute mixed flow pumps can be horizontal or vertical, with horizontal pumps being more widely used. Small and medium-sized mixed flow pumps are mostly volute type, while large mixed flow pumps are mostly guide vane type. Like axial flow pumps, the blades of mixed flow pumps are generally fixed, but the blades of large guide vane mixed flow pumps are fully adjustable. The blade angle can be adjusted at any time according to the operational needs, expanding its operational range.

Structure of mixed flow pumps: Compared with centrifugal pumps and axial flow pumps, mixed flow pumps have a lower head and a larger flow rate, so the impeller shape is special. Because the difference between the inlet diameter and the outlet diameter of the impeller is relatively small, and the ratio of the flow passage, width, and outlet diameter is relatively large, the relative width of the volute is larger than that of the centrifugal pump. The blades are curved from inlet to outlet, and the outlet edge of the blades is inclined, generating centrifugal force and thrust during operation. The water flows out of the impeller in the N direction, which is neither radial nor axial, but an oblique direction between the two, so the mixed flow pump is also called an oblique flow pump.
Mixed flow pumps can be widely used in modern sales markets because they can enhance drainage pipelines, especially in many manufacturing enterprises and municipal engineering pipelines. In the case of selecting installation, how can mixed flow pumps be installed more firmly?
Influencing factor 1: Geomorphological standards can endanger the installation and use of submersible axial flow pump stations. If the geomorphological standards are very complex, in addition to being unable to determine the normal position, the entire process of engineering construction will have many difficulties. Therefore, it is recommended to measure the relevant geomorphological and geological standards before the engineering construction to see if the mixed flow pump can be installed and used normally. During the entire installation process, it should be determined according to the arrangement of the inlet and outlet water channels or the construction of all pipelines.
Influencing factor 2: Prevention of cross-interference between machinery and equipment. Many different types of auxiliary machinery and equipment and their electrical equipment may also have pipelines during the entire installation process. All such machinery and equipment cannot have cross-interference during the entire installation process, otherwise it will endanger normal operation. Generally speaking, installation and application can be carried out separately in the case of installation, that is, the surrounding installation method can be checked first, and after determining this basic situation, stronger application can be carried out.
In addition to the above matters, the application function of the mixed flow pump should also be considered when installing it. For example, in the basic construction process of municipal engineering pipelines, check how much the total low-pressure discharge is. Only purposeful installation and application can have a stronger effect, and the equipment also has a very good fire prevention effect.
