After more than half a century of development, especially during the "Eleventh Five-Year Plan" and "Twelfth Five-Year Plan" periods, with the construction of a batch of key projects such as millions of tons of ethylene, tens of millions of tons of oil refining, and millions of kilowatts of nuclear power, the development of China's pump products has been driven, and the number of domestically produced equipment has increased day by day. The technical level of China's water pump manufacturing enterprises has a great price advantage compared with foreign countries, and domestic water pump products should obtain a larger market share. However, due to some user departments blindly pursuing advanced foreign technical equipment and not considering the cost-effectiveness, countless examples of national pump products being defeated by foreign products in domestic procurement bidding have occurred. In particular, for independent innovation, the first major technical equipment pump products independently developed have reached or exceeded similar foreign products, but user departments still refuse to use them on various grounds such as monthly operating performance, making it difficult for domestic pump products to be used in some key projects and key projects.
7. Low level of "two industrializations"
The national "Twelfth Five-Year Plan" development plan proposes to comprehensively improve the level of informatization and promote the deep integration of informatization and industrialization. 8. Industry standards urgently need to be updated
Research on common industry technologies is lacking, and design, process, material, and manufacturing standards urgently need to be updated. Due to restructuring, some research institutes that serve the industry have become enterprises that fight their own battles, and the nature and focus of their work have changed significantly, and their role in supporting industry technology has weakened day by day. The development speed of new technologies and new processes is relatively slow, and many standards such as design, process, materials, and manufacturing are difficult to connect with foreign countries, thus creating an important bottleneck restricting the development of the water pump industry.

Many standards related to technology, materials, and manufacturing struggle to connect with international counterparts, creating a significant bottleneck hindering the development of the water pump industry.
